Sage Publishing, the leading global producer of social science/research books, has commissioned a new work, LEADING EDGE MARKETING RESEARCH: 21ST Century Tools and Practices., to be offered in 2011.
The editors, Bob Kaden, Gerry Linda and Mel Prince, are inviting articles by well-known, thought provoking experts, who will be expected to provide chapters of at least 6,500 and no more than 10,000 words (25-40 manuscript pages) in their areas of expertise. Featured contributors will include highly experienced marketing researchers from leading client-side companies, experienced consumer insights managers, executives from blue chip research and consulting organizations and thought-leading marketing or marketing research academicians.
JSOCM focuses on research that increases our understanding of the means to induce behavioural change in a targeted audience on a temporary or permanent basis to achieve social goals. High quality academic articles including conceptual papers, critical literature reviews and rigorous empirical studies are sought for publication.

Papers are sought from academics and practitioners and could include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
Consumer perceptions, insurance image and brand
Consumer motivations, purchasing and consumption behaviour
New product development, cross-selling and bundling of insurance products
Case studies in bancassurance, allfinanz, etc.
B2B and B2C relationship marketing
Distribution channels
Issues in segmenting and targeting for insurance.
Manuscripts of approximately 5,000 words should follow the journal's manuscript guidelines (www.emeraldinsight.com/ijbm.htm) and be submitted using Scholar One's Manuscript Central online submission system. Special issue: Honoring Donald F. Dixon
For this special issue of JHRM on Dr Donald F. Dixon we particularly welcome tributes to Dixon and manuscripts that address topics that are closely related to his contributions to historical research in marketing including but not limited to:
history of marketing thought
development of marketing theory
analysis of marketing systems
